Last week, my team had the honor of attending the Ronald J Grotovsky Mayors Charitable Foundation 33rd Annual Golf Outing, which brought together members of our community over good food, friendly competition on the course, and generous donations by all. My team got to network with some members of the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association, Mokena Park District and many others.
For more than three decades, these outings have helped raise funds that support local charities and provide scholarships to ambitious Mokena students, like my summer intern, Grace, who are pursuing higher education. Congratulations to this year’s scholarship winners Kate Cassidy, Ryan Kotara, and Dominic Ford–I wish you all the best on your collegiate endeavors and hope you walk through campus knowing you have a community at home rooting for you!
To those who attended and made selfless contributions: your engagement and generosity will have lasting impacts on our community and improve the lives of countless families in our district. A special thank you to the Grotovskys, Debbie Engler, Frank Fleischer, Ken Grey, and all those who helped organize & host such a wonderful event. I look forward to seeing you all again next year!
