To the firefighters in the 37th District,
I know firsthand just how important it is for our first responders to have the best equipment possible in order to keep our communities safe. Equipping the brave men and women who protect our neighborhoods with the tools they need is, and will continue to be, a top priority of mine as your State Representative.
I wanted to let you all know that the Illinois State Fire Marshall is now accepting applications for the Small Equipment Grant Program. Grants of up to $26,000 will be awarded to fire departments throughout Illinois to help cover the costs of life-saving firefighting and ambulance equipment. If your department is interested, I would encourage you to send an application to OSFM and take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
