Yesterday in Springfield, we honored the brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Ceremony.
As a law enforcement officer, I know these ceremonies carry a weight that words can never fully capture. Behind every badge and every uniform is a family, a story, and a life dedicated to serving others. Today we remembered the heroes who gave everything to protect their communities and stood alongside the firefighters who continue answering the call with courage, pride, and honor every single day.
We will never forget our fallen firefighters or the sacrifice their families continue to carry. Please join me in keeping them all in your prayers.
