Chicago Police Officer Luis M. Huesca #18913 was shot and killed as he returned home from his tour of duty on April 21, 2024. Officer Huesca died in the line of duty to the violence he worked to protect the city of Chicago from. I along with the entire 37th District mourn the loss of this hero and grieve with his family, friends and CPD brothers and sisters.
This profession is filled with wonderful men and women looking to serve and sacrifice for their neighbors and communities safety – It simply shouldn’t be like this.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. through 8 p.m. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn. A funeral mass is planned for Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church on Western Avenue in Chicago.
